Rhubarb and Ginger

* * * * * by Toni • 10th November 2016

“Subtle and lovely, two of my favourite flavours which work really well together. Smells lovely as well.
I bought a big batch of the small boxes as an Xmas present and a stocking filler but have ended up keeping half of them!”

Nostalgic rhubarb

“Absolutely lovely taste reminded me of home as a child when we used to drink the water that the rhubarb sticks had been soaking in. Well done Tea pigs.”

Tangy and Zingy

“This is now my favourite teapigs tea. It is lovely and tart and has a delicious rhubarb flavour, with just enough ginger. I love it and will definitely buy more.”

Rhubarb and Ginger

“I'm always trying to find ginger teas without liquorice as I don't like it. This tea is perfect for that, no liquorice! The tea is amazing such a lovely flavour not too much ginger, but enought to get you feeling calm and revived. It's sweet and needs to be left for around 5 minutes, anything less and it could be a bit weak.”

As good as homemade rhubarb crumble

* * * * * by Amanda • 17th January 2015

“Yummy! I bought a sample pack and was really happy that I did. It's delicious and the flavour reminds me of the juice from a homemade rhubarb crumble with a warm, but gentle, kick of ginger. Will definitely be buying a bigger box next time.”

My favourite !

“Please make it in loose version!!! Absolutely wonderful!!!”

Amazing Rhubarb

“This is an astonishing tea. Delicious and refreshing. Please could you do it in packs of 50. It will, I'm sure, sell brilliantly!”

Zing with rhubarb & ginger!

“A delicious tea with a fizz and just enough ginger to complement the rhubarb. I see you've got it in 50s, so I'm in!”

Live this!

“Stumbled across the tea a while ago and I am absolutely hooked! Whenever I crave something sweet and sour I try to grab a cup of this tea. Agree with the comments requesting this in a 50s bag! I fully support that :)”

Such a treat

“I love this tea, such lovely flavour. I'm a massive rhubarb fan and this really hits the spot.”

“One of the best herbal teas I've ever had”

My favourite tea

* * * * * by Sharon Lindley • 24th January 2016

“This is my favourite tea, it's delicious. I used to be a real coffee addict (drinking far too much in a day) then I discovered the rhubarb and ginger tea and have completely stopped drinking coffee. After drinking this tea for 1 month I feel amazing, I'm sleeping better, feel more alert during the day and have lost 4lb in weight, RESULT!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE can we have it in the 50 bag box!”

Ginger with a zing

* * * * * by Janette Nelson • 31st August 2019

“The rhubarb adds a perfect zing to the ginger, without the ginger being the dominant taste. Perfect combination.”

the best tea ever!

* * * * * by Emily Tuson • 27th April 2016

“this is my all time favourite herbal/fruit tea. I leave it to brew for around five minutes and it is 100% worth the wait, it tastes really strongly of both rhubarb and ginger and is refreshing, comforting, calming and so delicious! I cant recommend it enough!”

very gingery mmm

* * * * - by Elizabeth • 5th February 2018

“i really like this tea as it has a wonderful gingery flavour - if you leave it to brew for a while!
the rhubarb is a bit weak in a mug but comes through much more strongly in a teapot/big mug”

anticipation was greater than the result

“As a rhubarb lover I was most disappointed at the lack of rhubarb infusion/flavour. Whilst not unpleasant by any means, the ginger overpowered any hint of rhubarb.”

Where's the rhubarb?

* * * - - by Sam Shelley • 12th January 2019

“I love rhubarb, so the thought of a rhubarb flavoured tea was enough to overlook the (not particularly liked) ginger. I was pretty disappointed at how the ginger completely overpowers the rhubarb so you can hardly taste it. If you're a fan of ginger, you'll probably love it, but I won't be ordering this again.”

Very Gingery

* * * - - by Rebekah • 13th June 2019

“I wanted to love this, but not one of my faves. I couldn't taste the rhubarb at all, and it tasted more like ginger tea. Perfect if you are looking for a warming ginger, but I was hoping for at least a little taste of rhubarb.”

Revision of previous review

* * * - - by Kate • 28th March 2016

“When I first tried these I was extremely disappointed as you will see from my previous review of one star. Over time with a bit of experimenting I found if I made it in a smaller cup and left the tea bag in for MUCH longer the flavours did come through and were very nice. Personally I believe the strength of flavour isn't as good as the likes of the peppermint and the lemon and ginger, and hence only 3 stars but I think my 1 star may have been harsh and would be happy for you to remove it and leave my 3 star review,”

Mostly just ginger

* * - - - by Ashley Perkins • 8th November 2017

“It's an okay ginger tea if you like that, unfortunately even after brewing for 5 minutes there wasn't a hint of rhubarb, disappointed as I was quite looking forward to a zingy rhubarb brew.”

No rhubarb just hot ginger

* * - - - by Jo • 1st April 2018

“We couldn’t taste the rhubarb at all. You could smell it but never came through in the taste. The ginger was quite bitter so we had to add to it. great for a cold though really opened everything up”

hmm not sure

* * - - - by Laura Mullan • 3rd May 2018

“I honestly love rhubarb but all I can taste is ginger, not so keen on this one :( first one I haven't liked”

Not up to usual standards

* * - - - by Rob • 25th September 2015

“I find it quite tasteless - more like some of the "ordinary" fruit teas you can buy. Quite disappointed with this - I was really looking forward to trying it.”

rhubarb and ginger.....

“I find this one quite tasteless. Dissapointed”

Should be called "Ginger"

* - - - - by Joanne McCulloch • 2nd September 2015

“Unfortunately no taste of rhubarb at all : (”

Very disappointing

* - - - - by Laura • 16th November 2015

“I am a loyal tea pigs drinker and up until now I haven't found a tea I disliked. I got this one for my birthday and was so excited to try it, but it has a very strange flavor. The ginger is almost non-existent (especially in comparison to the Lemon and Ginger). The general consensus was among myself and my 4 friends that it actually tasted like tomato, like a ragu sauce - very bazar.”
